Every tradition that claims exclusive ownership is doing the equivalent of arguing that the map drew the territory. Look at who pointed at this reality. Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, the Sufis, scattered across centuries and continents with no way of copying one another, all describing the same thing in different languages. That is not coincidence and it is not borrowing. It is what happens when separate people look directly at the same reality and report back honestly. Truth does not get invented by a culture. It gets discovered by anyone willing to look, which is exactly why it keeps showing up everywhere, wearing whatever clothes the local tradition handed it. This is the part that dissolves the whole argument. Knowledge can be passed down, rules can be taught, traditions can be memorised and recited for a lifetime, but the actual thing they point at cannot be handed to you. It has to become alive inside your own awareness, or it is just secondhand information you are guarding like it is yours. A thousand people can describe the sun in perfect detail and not one of those descriptions will warm your skin. That is the difference between inheriting a belief and knowing something directly. One is a word about the light. The other is standing in it. So the religions were never the problem. They are maps, and maps are useful, but a map was never meant to be worshipped in place of the ground it describes. The moment you mistake the map for the territory, you stop walking. You defend the paper instead of reaching the place. God was never hidden inside any single one of them. God was hidden in plain sight, in the awareness reading these words, which is the one place every authentic path was quietly trying to send you the entire time. Do your own looking. Trust what resonates. Use your own discernment.
