@stuck.in.africa: Africa Day 2026 felt a bit like this 🌍🇬🇼 Happy celebration @africanunion_official 1963 - 2026. Portrayed ⬇️ Traditional Bijagós Dance representation in the village (tabanka) of Bijante , Bubaque, Guinea Bissau. The dance is divided into 3-4 different acts into a crescendo of rhythm and movements, leading to the final arrival of the Cows from the forest into the cerimonial space. These are considered holy animals and figures as it is through them that the village seeks protection from both the spiritual and physical world.
