@ukcourtwatch: TREVOR CHEESMAN HOVE PAEDOPHILE SEX OFFENDER SUSSEX Introduction A highly dangerous digital predator from Hove who callously launched a horrific online grooming campaign—soliciting what he believed was a twelve-year-old girl on Kik and hoarding a database of child abuse images—has avoided immediate jail. 51-year-old Trevor Cheesman was completely unmasked following an intensive public protection inquiry. The Offences and Trial Details Cheesman operated from his home on Farm Road, executing a calculated sequence of digital and privacy violations before his twenty-twenty-three sentencing. The predator non-compliantly targeted a minor, tracking online messaging networks to send eighty-three pages of explicit material to incite a child into sexual activity while collecting prohibited images. Sentences and Court Orders Dragged before Lewes Crown Court after an undercover sting shattered his electronic cover, the monster entered four formal guilty pleas. The judiciary stripped away his digital freedom, handing down a two-year prison sentence suspended for eighteen months, running alongside a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and an intense rehabilitation mandate. Investigation and Impact The intensive investigation by West Midlands Police unzipped his electronic hardware, exposing a violent history of twenty-one prior offences, including battery. Judge Stephen Mooney slammed his sickening behaviour, warning that he came as close as possible to immediate jailing, allowing tracking units to enforce a ten-year register block to guarantee absolute public safety.
