yea after awhile I stopped taking the L. my guard shift is over nobody came to replace me for radio guard so I went to bed then pretended to be just as shocked as everyone else when we all woke up together. 😂

A 6 hour watch turned into a 12 hour watch because our relief was in a different state. Leadership tried to call and get coverage but no one answered. We stood there for 12 hours on an empty pier guarding a sub that already had its own guards and gate.

one of the last nights of basic training i went to wake up both of my battles on the next shift and they both said "nah im not waking up" and one of them told me to make sure i turned on the lights early. i said he'll no im not staying up another hour and went back to sleep
