Since starting @passiveblessings_ back in October, Alhamdulillah I’ve done 17 Shahadas within my community 🤍 And this one was special. @abbeypotts , who became part of the community earlier this year and is now one of the core members of Passive Blessings, made a dua on Eid morning after one of her friends asked her: “If Allah could answer one dua for you today, what would it be?” Her answer was simple. She prayed that both her parents would one day take their Shahada. And SubhanAllah… that same evening during our Eid meal distribution, her mother @barbiepotts stepped forward and took her Shahada with us. A Shahada is when someone accepts Islam and declares their belief in Allah and that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final messenger. It’s the beginning of a completely new chapter in someone’s life. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best among you are those with the best character.” (Bukhari) And honestly, this is the biggest reminder for me that Islam is not only spread through words it’s spread through character, kindness, community, and actions. To see 17 people embrace Islam in such a short time through what’s been built at Passive Blessings is something I’ll never be able to fully explain. I pray Allah accepts it from all of us and allows us to continue helping and guiding people towards Islam 🤍 And the beautiful thing is this community has never only been for Muslims. It’s open to everyone from every background, every culture, every walk of life. This is only the beginning.
