90% of people drive les than 50 miles a day so who cares? U wake up every morning with a full battery for 3 to 5$. I own the bz4x for 2 years now. I love it.

It is exactly the same for gasoline and diesels. Range is much lower in cold weather.

Iv a 2025 equinox ev rs. ( love it ) winter was interesting. Mileage was basically cut by 1/3 . Maybe more. Was the coldest winter in years. I plugged in every night. Heated up very fast. Great in the snow and ice. Now that’s its summer I charge once a week at a Tesla station for around 30 bucks Canadian. I’ll always own an EV now. BUT I also own a jeep. Hard on gas. Great in snow fun to drive and I love it as well. Gas mileage also drops by 1/3 or more in winter maybe more.

What extreme cold weather are we speaking about ? Also, isn't it more efficient to just use the heated seats and wheels in cold weather ?
