![The jury in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial will continue deliberating on Tuesday (Sept. 1) after deliberating for about 6 hours on Monday without reaching a verdict. They did not ask questions today. Jurors have now deliberated about 16 hours since getting the case on Thursday. Judge William Sullivan recessed the jury about 3:45 p.m. Eastern time in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Clancy, who recently turned 36, was on maternity leave from her job as a labor and delivery nurse when she killed her children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. She is charged with three counts of murder. Jurors can consider manslaughter as a lesser included offense to murder. Her defense is that she's not guilty because she experiencing postpartum psychosis and did not know what she was doing when she strangled the children with exercise bands in the basement of their home in Duxbury on Jan. 24, 2023. Jurors will return to Sullivan's courtroom in Plymouth County Superior Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Her case involves serious issues and could distress people.
