George Drumm was murdered in November 1977. Early that month, George Drumm, a young husband and father, suddenly disappeared. At the time, his wife was pregnant with their second child. George had spent time around motorcycle clubs and had become a prospect for the Warlocks, a group with deep roots in the Philadelphia area. Before he vanished, George was seen at a local bar. During what would become his final known phone call, he asked his family to place a photograph of his young daughter in his casket. To those who later remembered the conversation, it sounded as though George knew he was never coming home. Days passed with no sign of him. On November 12, 1977, a hunter walking through a remote gravel pit in Winslow Township, New Jersey, discovered George's body. He was fully clothed and carried no identification. Investigators estimated he had been dead for four to seven days. An autopsy determined that George had been killed by gunshot wounds to the head. Authorities declined to reveal additional details but stated there was no doubt he had been murdered. Investigators worked to determine what happened during the days between George's disappearance and the discovery of his body. They questioned acquaintances and pursued multiple leads, but no weapon was ever recovered, no suspects were publicly identified, and no arrests were made. Because George disappeared in Pennsylvania but was found in New Jersey, jurisdictional issues complicated the investigation. Over the years, rumors circulated about who may have been responsible, but no evidence strong enough to support charges ever emerged. At George's funeral, family members recalled seeing unusual men in dark suits positioned throughout the funeral home. In the years that followed, George's mother reportedly received strange phone calls consisting only of static. She believed she could sometimes hear her son's voice faintly saying,

Nearly fifty years later, George Drumm's murder remains unsolved. He was 23 years old. #GeorgeDrumm #UnsolvedMurder #NeverForget #ColdCase #PennsylvaniaHistory
