I had a similar situation. I worked in a retail job and one of my regular customers left her wallet. when I called her she casually said I'll be there in the money. she treated it like it was no big deal. there was 1,000 dollars and credit cards. yet, I found another wallet and traced the owner down. there was only $3. the owner said that was the only money he had but wanted to give me the $3. I refused but he was insisting.
