Lowkey the original httyd toothless feels more realistic then the live action one. Like obv not texturing, but like his sleakness and the way he moves feels like a real animal, the LA one feels floaty and clunky it's weird

I don't understand why people complain about the first scene of Toothless running and tripping. Honestly, he is running through a densely packed forest, trying to dodge trees. I have no idea how Og Toothless didn't bump into a tree, considering the size and speed he was going. I'm glad they made Toothless have some weight to him in LA he still was pretty agile .

Toothless is based off of cats and other agile animals. He’s supposed to be a slender, fast and flexible dragon versus thick and clunky, not to mention lightweight.

People saying that the LA run was more realistic need to understand that Nightfuries were cannonically the most agile dragons. They are not supposed to bump into trees or crash on the ground, which is why they animated him like that. I think the creators of the movie would know enough lore to make it accurately.

beautiful edit!!💞💞 also i don't understand why so many people hate the la when they put so much effort in it and wanted to rexplore the httyd franchise but ig everyone got their own opinions. and the reason why toothless is less agile is mainly because it's real life and if they made him just like in his animated counterpart it wouldn't be as realistic as it should be. he is a dragon he obv would be heavy🤷‍♀️and i like to think that at la they went on with the idea to make him puppy like as they were originally supposed to
