@caitiesfosterfam: Mogwai isn’t leaving me anytime soon. Expect many more daily morning updates to come! With that said, I know a lot of you are really hoping I adopt Mogwai. I totally understand your sentiment, and I don’t mind the comments. Because I get it- she already loves me so much. And I absolutely love her. But I urge you to hear me out here. I fall in love with almost all of my fosters (some puppies I might be ready for them to leave haha). Bringing a dog back from the brink of death or from suffering so badly to a healthy, happy dog enjoying life will always form such a special bond between us. Before Mogwai, there was Freddy. Before Freddy, there was Tony. Before Tony, there was Billie. And the list goes on 300+ dogs and 13 years. So many dogs that I wouldn’t have had the chance to save if I had kept the first few. So many deserving dogs that now have incredible adopters because I had the strength to let them leave. Because letting your foster get adopted is a selfless decision. “We let our hearts break so theirs don’t have to.” And I’ll keep letting my heart break because I have so many more lives to save.
