This story has hit me for the last two and a half years. I lost my wife and kids due to a mistake, but even though I was redeemed by Jesus, my now wife divorced me and married someone who was my friend. I may have 50/50 custody of the children, but I have no say in their lives. Regardless my path with Jesus has continued. I tried to move on and walk away from my old life like Lot, and understanding my ex wife is very much like Lot’s wife, I sometimes think that god is asking for me to save her like Hosea saved Gomer. But life isn’t that easy and I have to continue with my walk and see what god has in store for me.

The book of Hosea is an example of God and the Israelites, through Hosea he shows his people that even though they had turned away from him , he will still love them, forgive them and restore them through repentance. God loves us even when we screw up, all we need to do is seek deeply, he will forgive us, and always love us.
