@kaynekawasaki: Over 50 years ago, the reggae festivals of Brockwell Park brought together music, culture, community and resistance. Between 1973 and 1975, these pioneering gatherings helped lay the foundations for future movements and events, including Rock Against Racism in 1978 and the Reggae Festival of Arts and Culture in the early 1980s. Today, that legacy continues through City Splash. To the 30,000+ people who came to Brockwell Park this year: understand that you are part of something much bigger than a festival. You are part of a living cultural legacy! We’re not just celebrating. We’re elevating the present and building for the future! Legacy takes time. It takes insight. It takes a community that understands its history and moves with purpose. As the village grows, so too must our collective consciousness. Know thyself. Vibrate higher. Protect what we’ve built. City Splash isn’t just an event. It’s a living legacy 🛖🤎🌍
