In the state where I fostered and eventually adopted my son, you can foster together as an unmarried couple, but you can’t adopt together as an unmarried couple. You can only adopt as a single person or a married couple. What is your plan if their case plan comes to TPR and adoption?

controversial opinion but I think that platonic parenting should be normalised. if you take the romance out of it, the risks of breakups etc are so much lower

I’m platonically co parenting 3 kids with a friend—we both date, we each get a night off a week and a weekend-ish off whenever we need, and we share expenses equitably. It works for us!
