@loujainrx: POV you had your wedding reception at your favorite restaurant and it was a dream. Truly the wedding of my dreams. Everything was perfect and if I could do it all over again, I would do everything the same. When we got engaged, we debated wanted to elope but the closer we got to our wedding day, we realized that we would miss celebrating with our loved ones. However, the wedding industry is incredibly complex and with the number of people we wanted to celebrate with, it was impossible to imagine how we could pull off a wedding without spending fortunes. That’s when we started thinking outside the box and decided to do something untraditional that would still feel like a complete celebrating of our relationship and our loved ones. From having a traditional Zaffa walking us through the streets of North Hills for our grand entrance, to having the most fabulous dinner of our lives and dancing all night, everything was more beautiful than we could’ve ever planned. To this day, I cannot believe we planned such an elevated, personally curated and special evening in four months. From DIY the wedding entrance signs, the decor, the party favors, seating chart, flowers, tablescapes, and so much more, this experience brought us so much closer. All without a wedding planner, a day of coordinator, florist, or rentals!!! I wish I could package everything I learned during this planning proccess and give it to every bride currently planning their wedding because I don’t believe that you need to spend a fortune to have the wedding celebration you’ve always dreamed of. The wedding industry today makes you feel like you have to spend thousands and thousands of dollars and that you need to spend money on a venue, rentals, a decorator, a florist, a wedding planner, a day of coordinator, a caterer and so much more. It is amazing if you can afford it, but being 2 graduate students, that to me seemed realistic and that’s why I’m really proud of how well we planned this wedding and how much we spent on it It was truly the most euphoric experience and day anyone could ask for.
