Wall Street want to air bands because RF is faster than the internet. If traders can get more trades in in the same amount of time as internet it’s just that more $ especially with after hours trading.

in the 70s, I had a CB radio with a small power pack 110v AC/ 12v DC, and a 30ft antenna, and in the middle of night, I talked to many other states and countries....😳

We listened to Radio Deutsche Welle on SW. I miss that. it was a huge task getting the frequency though. a lot of tiny twists to get the exact location

I used to listen to as many as 50 + shortwave radio stations from around the world. I was introduced to this excellent hobby in my early school days in 80s. my favorites are Happy station from radio Nederland, Deutsche welle, radio Prague. BBC, voice of America, radio Australia..and many like Radio Berlin.. used to collect QSL cards... missing those good old days...I am from TAMIL NADU, India... I miss my friend romey shnee moodley from Durban, south Africa. I got her as a friend through Happy station penpal club..she is from ispingo rail, Durban south Africa...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
