The word Sheol appears 65 times in the Hebrew Old Testament and is almost never translated consistently. The King James Bible renders it as "hell" 31 times, "grave" 31 times, and "pit" 3 times — all from the same Hebrew word. Sheol was not the place of the wicked. It was the place of the dead. Righteous and wicked alike. David said he would go there. Jacob said he would go there. Job begged God to hide him there. Then Peter stands on Pentecost and quotes Psalm 16 — he was not abandoned to Sheol. Not abandoned. Which means He went. And Revelation 1:18 tells you what He came back with. 📖 Psalm 16:10 — You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. 📖 Acts 2:31 — He was not abandoned to Sheol, nor did his flesh see corruption. 📖 Job 14:13 — Oh that You would hide me in Sheol, that You would conceal me until Your wrath be past. 📖 Revelation 1:18 — I am the living one. my aunt who never talks about this stuff randomly sent me a link to book The Silent Dominion by D. Cross and just said "read this." no context nothing. i read it in two days and now i understand why she didn't wanna explain over text. the way D. Cross breaks down how systems of control actually operate is insane. not insane like crazy. insane like why doesn't everyone know this
