I work at the cancer Institute that’s in there from old bergners building. I wish they had more stuff! It was nice when they had sidells bakery and shops to be able to go to. All moved out now. Only thing to get is a pretzel now! No hospital yet…. But a birthing center, surgery center and a cancer institute! 😁

The owners of the mall charge way too much for the small spaces so most of the stores have moved to where Kohl’s is located! They are making it into a strip mall!

I used to go to Girl Scout lock ins at this mall as a kid. Stores would be open all night, music in the central area, no sleep to be had during those nights.

The stairs that go to nothing used to go to Sears

The stairs to an empty wall was Sears which is now Dunhams, only accessed from the outside. It use to have Rue 21, maurices, Victoria secret, Claire's, bath and body, 2 different bar and grills, a huge bookstore, Spencers, JC Penny, Bergners, an awesome penny cent candy store, the buckle, a children's place. There were vendor shows especially at holiday time. It was packed. Now the Medical Group has plans to turn part of it and the parking lot into a 2nd hospital.

I grew up in Quincy and I remember when that mall was the place to go it had Aladdin’s Castle Orange Julius you can get pretzels go watch a movie hang out with your friends eating the food court and now it’s kind of like a mausoleum. it’s really sad how a place Where the youth of this town used to be able to go and hang out and shop and get food and see their friends is now like I said a mausoleum of what was. And yeah, let’s look at this hospital in what was a mall wow I’m going to go to the what was a mall and have an operation. Yeah, I don’t think so but the Quincy mall yeah it was a place to meet up with your friends go to McDonald’s across the parking lot or go to Paisans Pizza go see a movie back when they made good movies and just hang out. It’s like Quincyhas what looks like a mall, but it’s a museum of what a mall possibly could’ve looked like. But those were the days and now is now, and well the mall it’s no more.
