@dharmic_unite: Prahlad Prahlada is a revered devotee of Lord Vishnu in Hindu tradition. According to the Bhagavata Purana, Prahlad was the son of the demon king Hiranyakashipu. Despite being raised in a family hostile to Vishnu, he remained steadfast in his devotion. The primary textual evidence for Prahlad’s story is found in the Seventh Book (Skandha 7) of the Bhagavata Purana and also in the Vishnu Purana. These ancient texts describe his teachings, prayers, and persecution by his father for refusing to abandon Vishnu worship. Narasimha Avatar Narasimha is the fourth avatar of Vishnu. The Bhagavata Purana, Vishnu Purana, and other Puranic texts state that Narasimha appeared to protect Prahlad and destroy Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu had obtained a boon that he could not be killed by man or beast, indoors or outdoors, during day or night, on earth or in the sky, or by any weapon. Narasimha—being neither fully man nor beast—killed him at twilight, on a palace threshold, placing him on his lap and using his claws. These details are presented in the scriptures as evidence that Vishnu fulfilled the conditions of the boon while protecting his devotee. Historical Proof There is strong textual and cultural evidence for the antiquity of the Prahlad–Narasimha tradition. Ancient manuscripts of the Bhagavata Purana and Vishnu Purana preserve the story, and Narasimha worship has been practiced for many centuries. Archaeological evidence includes ancient Narasimha temples such as Ahobilam and Simhachalam Temple, which have long-standing traditions dedicated to Narasimha. The Event is accepted by believers as sacred history based on scriptural authority and continuous religious tradition. #india #hinduism #southasia #desi #fyp
