My ex passed away and his parents are still my bonus parents. Once a year I go on vacation and they come up and spend the week at my house with my daughter and have some solo time with her. It’s amazing to find family love beyond the normal

I was a single mom. I never married my ex, so his parents were never my in laws, but let me tell you, I love them like family. Despite the pain he caused (still causes) they have always been consistent and amazing to me and my daughter. I am so happy you have a good relationship with yours too.
