I worked at Robinson • May (where target is now) and the lease they had didn't allow for them to use all the space they had. the lower floor LITTERALLY had the same lay out as Backrooms. you accessed it through a door that was always locked. it was expansive and empty. there was unused hangers for clothes and fixtures. it was creepy AF.

I had just moved to CA in 2015. Garden grove was where some friends had a house, I rented a room, would visit this mall from time to time. It was actually popular and had a bunch of random stores. So crazy to see it close, it feels personal
