@plumbingdoctors: 🔥 Vaillant 🟢🐰 EcoTEC call-out turned into a lot more than “just a leak” 👨‍🔧 Customer originally said the boiler was leaking 💧 At first, the visible leak was from the condensate hose… But after checking the boiler properly 👇 ❌ Filling loop had been left slightly open ❌ PRV was dripping ❌ Expansion vessel was completely full of water So while I was there I 👇 ✅ Replaced the vessel ✅ Replaced the PRV ✅ Upgraded the old BoilerFix filling loop to a Part L compliant filling loop 🔧 ✅ Replaced the condensate hose Went to fire the boiler back up 🔥 But instinct told me to wait until it got up to temperature… Good job I did 😅 As the boiler heated up, I spotted steam coming from the primary return/F75 return pipe at the back near the pump 👀 Tiny pinhole leak hidden right at the back. Should’ve checked it earlier when I saw the condensate dripping — but caught it just before leaving 💪 Quick trip back to the merchants 🏃‍♂️ Drained it down and replaced the return pipe as well. And of course… changed the automatic air vent too 😂 You already know how I feel about old AAVs. One thing I’ll say about Vaillant 🟢🐰 EcoTECs — probably some of the easiest boilers to work on 👌 Loads of components changed with ease and straightforward access throughout. #Vaillant #BoilerRepair #HeatingEngineer #GasEngineer #Plumbing
