I’m so sorry. I had an ex-boyfriend who passed and I found out on Facebook. We had a very confusing back and forth before he died, so when I found out, it felt like my brain couldn’t grasp the finality of it. I had a closet underneath my stairs that I would sit in and just cry. At the time, the pain was the worst I had experienced. The permanency of never hearing their voice, or feeling their embrace, or seeing their face as they laugh is something I don’t think we can ever comprehend. When I saw your video, I instantly felt that heaviness I had felt. Like cider blocks on top of your chest. Time does not heal all wounds, but you do learn how to live with this kind of loss. Be gentle with yourself. Grief is not linear and our experience is individualized. Sending you hugs.
