Fr I have CRIED so many times at hair appointments just over this. I asks for a mullet, they say “no, I don’t want to ruin your beautiful hair!” I tell them to give me one anyway because THATS WHAT I ASKED FOR. I bring very clear digital AND printed references with exactly what I want and make sure to clearly explain what I like and don’t like about them. They say okay and cut my hair. It’s a mullet, yes, but NOT what I asked for. They ‘fix it.’ It’s a bob. I tell them again “This isn’t what I asked for. I wanted a mullet.” They shrug and send me away anyway. I have only had 3 good haircuts where they were exactly what I asked for, but they’re not sustainable because they’re very expensive hairstylists. I shouldn’t have to pay SIGNIFICANTLY MORE MONEY just to get what I asked for. It’s not like I’m asking for them to dye, braid, or use tons of product on it. What you think would look good on me doesn’t matter.
