Sometimes doctors/pharmacists tell me they're surprised I know the names and doses of all my meds... like I would HOPE I would know what meds I'm taking 😭

When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I found myself becoming a lot more patient when I see an older person in front of me being confused by the ATM card reader or simple instructions. Doesn't apply to everyone but some people may have the beginnings of cognitive decline

Same reason why check-out lanes take forever: some old lady is always there and needs 47.92 hours to put her checkbook, handkerchief, travel-size Kleenex, toy poodle, and a sculpture of Marmaduke that her 7-year-old autistic grandnephew carved for using a spoon back into her 3 cubic inch handbag.

In the days of yore I worked at a photo lab. “Hi, I need to pick up for Brown or Smith I’m not sure and I don’t know the first name. It could also be under Johnson. And I may have dropped it off in Casper, Wyoming. I don’t remember.

Former pharmacy tech here. Some people come to the pharmacy and they don’t even have medication and aren’t on any. But that’s for me to figure out by searching for 5-10 minutes :)
