I have been on metformin for several years. Never experienced diarrhea. I’m the opposite. I have trouble with constipation.

I’m type 2. I take no meds cos it was impossible to get my meds regularly in the UK. Reading today was 32.8. Through the roof. I don’t care. I’m happy without the constant aggravation from inept doctors and nurses.

I been taking metformin over 15 years gave me diarrhea at first but I’m use to it now but it effects muscle tissue have to take vitamin b with it

I take Metformin. 500 2x a day. Haven’t had the side effects but I do make sure I have some food when taking Metformin. I also am on a low carb/ keto diet, so, maybe this is why I haven’t had this issue???

I found that taking metformin with caffeine increased likelihood of diarrhea. Still trying to figure out my diet so that my gut isn’t wrecked by the meds. It’s tough because I really struggle with meat so getting enough protein is hard for me.

I was put on metformin and in one month I went from 127 lbs to 104 lbs. They cut my intake in half and put me on a slow release metformin. I'm not losing weight, but it is hard trying to gain weight without spiking my sugar
