The alarm is for volunteer firefighters hahaha! Its often only in small towns as in small towns the firefighters often don’t get paid/it’s not their main job so the alarm goes off to alert them to hiss to the station cos there is a fire they need to attend to hahah! That way too if they don’t have their phone on them the alarm is impossible to miss!

You are a delight to watch! You should be an ambassador for NZ Tourism. 😊 The siren is for the volunteer fire brigades and they also test them every week to make sure they work. The cheese roll filling is so delicious because there are one or two extra secret ingredients that give them that unique flavour.

It’s just our fire alarm in New Zealand for rural areas, we don’t always have reception in less populated areas but everyone can hear the alarm 🚒🚑🚔

In the smaller towns we don’t have actual fire services who are at the station 24/7 we have volunteers so the fire alarms go off for the volunteers to get to the fire station asap if that makes sense
