While it might look like a software glitch or a broken internal part, those vertical lines and black spots are actually typical signs of a cracked internal LCD layer (the matrix). Even if the outside glass feels perfectly smooth and unsmashed, the delicate inner display panel has shattered from an impact or pressure. Because this is still considered physical damage rather than a factory defect, a standard manufacturer warranty will unfortunately not cover it.

For a retro system like your PS2 it's worth looking at a CRT television. A family member could still have one in the attic somewhere or you could ask your grown ups at home to see if someone on your local facebook community groups or marketplaces has or is selling one, that's how I got my PS2 when I was around your age! :)
