I work a job where I shouldn’t be struggling at all.. bartending in a spicy club. And I can tell you I feel the difference between now and 4-5 years ago. Between 2021-2022 I was able to save 40k. And now? I haven’t had wifi or car insurance for months. My phone constantly gets shut off. It went from almost guaranteed at least $100/night on slow nights to $30/night. $700 weekends to $200 if I’m lucky. The rest of the economy is doing so bad, us people in the nightlife industry are feeling it the most.

And it’s been like this since Covid. 6 YEARS. I have to find $20 for my son to get his team pics tomorrow. (I didn’t even plan on ordering, but it’s a sitting fee and apparently I’m the only parent that thinks sitting fees are ridiculous. God forbid I actually get any pictures 😭).
