Chasing money as the only motivator is an empty, hollow and meaningless pursuit. The money chasers won't be ever be satiated or happy no matter how much money they earn because it will never be enough in its own. I do agree that if you start your own business it needs to be profitable and financially worthwhile but whatever you choose to do as a business first and foremost should bring you meaning and purpose. When that purpose means something for you and for your teams, the profit will be the result rather than the sole target or purpose. Culture eats strategy for breakfast.
