The funniest thing is that I've seen people give huge tips to waiters and the bosses keep them... there have even been TikTok videos about it. Ultimately, it's not the customer's problem if they're paid well or not, demand better from your bosses!

I find it strange that tipping in the U.S. feels almost mandatory. Where I’m from, tipping isn’t an obligation at all. In fact, even giving just a dollar is seen as a generous gesture, and service staff are genuinely grateful. But in America, it seems like you’re expected to tip no matter what. Shouldn’t tipping be based on the quality of service and whether you actually feel like giving one?
