@drnaspharmd: If you've ever noticed tiny rough bumps on your arms, thighs, butt, or cheeks that look like "chicken skin," you may have Keratosis Pilaris (KP). KP is extremely common and completely harmless, but it can be frustrating to treat. KP occurs when excess keratin builds up inside the hair follicles, creating small bumps and rough texture. While there isn't a permanent cure, the right ingredients can dramatically improve the appearance and feel of the skin over time. ⭐ The best ingredients for Keratosis Pilaris: • Lactic Acid – Gently exfoliates dead skin, smooths rough texture, and can help fade discoloration. • Salicylic Acid (BHA) – Penetrates into the follicles to help dissolve keratin buildup and unclog pores. • Glycolic Acid – Helps improve skin texture and promotes smoother-looking skin. • Urea – Softens rough bumps while deeply hydrating the skin. • Ceramides – Support and strengthen the skin barrier to reduce irritation. • Retinoids (Adapalene/Tretinoin) – Help normalize skin cell turnover and improve stubborn KP over time. 💡 Tips for treating KP: ✔ Moisturize daily ✔ Be consistent with exfoliating products ✔ Use lukewarm water instead of hot water ✔ Avoid aggressive scrubbing ✔ Give products at least 6–8 weeks to work Remember: KP is very common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Consistency is the key to seeing smoother skin. My cousin has light KP and she used Gold bond lotion for crepey skin. Her KP cleared right up. She gave me the rest and my KP has got so much better. I couldn't believe how much better it worked than everything else I've tried!! 🙌

I’ve been using amlactin and salycilic acid lotion (I alternate) and my KP on my left arm still won’t go. I’ve also used glycolic acid.

“I really need help. I have a lot of it on my hands and legs, but these products are very expensive and I can’t afford to buy them. It has really affected my confidence so much that I can’t even wear the clothes I want to wear.”🥺
