I’m already achieving 90% of what I want in life. I haven’t started the medication yet but I just need some relief from the mental chatter along the way. Really hoping the meds can do that for me 🙏

This is actually the approach I wish my psychiatrist had taken. When I told her I wanted to come off stimulants after 20 years, she expressed concern about my ability to function without them because I owned a business, had a full private practice, and four kids. Looking back, that reinforced my belief that the medication was responsible for my success. I wish she had reminded me that my accomplishments belonged to me, not the prescription. 🥹

I needed to hear this today. I hate that I am not “fully functional” without my medication. It's a cage to live under these conditions. I wish I had been born normal, just like everyone else. On the other side of the token~ I am grateful for the medication that helps me. 🙈🙋♀️🤷♀️
