@lachinemearning.com: it definitely gets easier to use the syntax if youre familiar with the messy world of data cleaning, play around with it!! bear in mind, pandas is still good for relatively small to medium datasets where polars isnt needed, they can perform the same #statistics #machinelearning #computerscience #python #programming
Polars sooo goated been using it for some time now 😃

Generally the decision boils down to the volume of data.
Small dataset = Pandas
Multi GB dataset = Polars
Hundreds of GB/Terabyte = Multinode spark clusters on Databricks

Can you please talk about how to make training works on multiple cores or even on GPU (i think is with tensor flow), cause every time I try to do a more ambitious project i get stuck waiting for the model to finish training and it takes hours… and every tine i tried to set tensor flow up it was a disaster, broke the whole code or simply it didn’t recognized my gpu :(

I use pandas to html a lot (and hate it) does polars have the same (and hopefully better) sort of method?

I recently started learning Polars. Loved the API. Very ergonomic, coming from Pandas.

yessirr 🐻❄️but if u have an NVIDIA GPU, try RAPIDS cuDF! almost all of my runtime execution runs in 0.xx seconds even with millions of records hahah
