Today’s been an emotional day. I share a lot of how I handle my cancer story with positivity as it’s what gets me through the hard times. But there are many days that look like this. It’s hard not to let my cancer takeover. The uncertainty is scary not knowing what’s next in my cancer journey. I use to avoid these emotions, but through therapy I’ve learned to allow myself to feel when having these feelings. Whether it’s sadness, anger, worry, I just let myself feel. But I remind myself cancer doesn’t define me. Cancer hasn’t won and it will never win. It will never take the Melanie I am away from me. It’s really hard for me to share hard moments, as I would rather be sharing the positive parts and better news. But I want to share all the parts of me with you, the good and bad of my cancer story. I’m going to keep fighting, keep living with hope and never let cancer stop me from living♥️.
