First time EVER forgetting to include a clip that I recorded. BUT YOU NEED 1/2 CUP OF VINEGAR WITH THE BEETS — kinda hard to pickle something without it 🫥

you don't boil them you steam them for 15 minutes, throw them in water till they're cool, they'll peel easy doesn't matter how long you leave them

‼️‼️HEAR ME OUT! I’ve perfected the hard boiled egg recipe. Trust me I mean it. Bring a pot of water to a full boil, gently lower in cold eggs straight from the fridge, boil for exactly 10 minutes 30 seconds, then immediately transfer them to an ice bath for 10–15 minutes. Crack and peel from the wide end where the air pocket is. Literally perfect every single time.

I always buy giant jars of dill pickles, so that when the pickles are gone I can just drop a dozen boiled eggs in the pickle juice. Also they're a green tint, which looks less like a testicle than the red🤣

My grandma used to can pickled beets. Once all the beets were eaten and there was just juice left she would refill the jar with boiled eggs.

after boiling, crack them, leave the shell on and put in ice water. the cold water makes the egg shrink away from the shell so peeling is easier

Pickled eggs growing up was boiled eggs in the pickle juice once the pickles were gone. Leave in fridge for a few days then enjoy. Yes they turn a light yelliw green color, we did not waste anything

Tap (and I mean TAP) the round, air sack end till you hear the snap sound. That's it, then into cool water to boil 7-10 minutes.

those with pickled sausage is something my mom used to make. She also would put sliced yellow onions in with the eggs to make it sweet. 😋

In PA, we have “red beet eggs.” We don’t include those spices but keep the beets in the mixture so that they’re served together. Grocery stores usually have them at the deli and/or salad bar.

No beets.. just pickling spices, vinegar and water. Make them like you would do with cukes.

Before you bil the eggs, tap on the bottom, wider part of the egg gently with the back of a regular spoon. Tap until you hear a little snapping sound. That's the membrane detaching from the shell. It makes peeling them a breeze!
