I kinda feel like all Jax, Ragatha, Zooble, and Gangle all might reflect some aspect of Goose as a person, and Pomi and Kinger might be the support system she wished she had.

My thing is why not make Jax the main character in the beginning! Like you said the first few was episode for pomni but if the focus was Jax this whole time why not make him the protagonist from the very START 😭

about time someone analyzed jax's purpose a bit more positive! And something else i just realized, isnt this goose's first time writing and directing a large ongoing story with a team? if so then of course she would make many mistakes in writing and public relations.

Exactly, also I really think tadc suffered from being a passion project, goose isn't a bad writer but there is a clear lack of experience and editing in her writing that having a team of people whose whole job is to help with the writing would have fixed. I think people keep expecting big studio quality from indie which of course is possible but it won't always be the case

I think when adding a second main character that wasn’t one from the beginning you have to have more then one season and if it’s a character that’s been there since the start or a while before becoming one you have to do it in a way that makes sense and not just do it off camera in a sense

Personally I don't mind Jax coming into focus halfway through the story. I think he works well with the others starting to heal while he double downs in his denial. I think if Gooseworx had not called Jax as a second protagonist people would be much more fine with how the story is structured. Because just watching the show I think Jax is still a side character that is getting more focus in the later episodes. So the perception that he is a second protagonist is partially due to it being stated as such.

Yeah, this is why I just like to think TADC as a whole as a character study of characters who represent parts of Goose. And even if the show has flawed writing, theres something valuable to be found in that. Art does reflect reality after all.

the thing that i dont like about tadc is that everything feels rushed in these past few episodes. if the show had, say, 12 episodes instead of 9 it probably would've had better pacing.

I personally don't mind. It's her story, she's the writer and director, she can do whatever she wants with it. For people who aren't ok with it can either drop it off or even better "teach her" a lesson and create your own stories with its own characters/plots the way you see fit. Who knows, it may become the next big thing
