Did he leave you or did you leave him. If you left then yes you can reach out but if he left you don’t. If he left go private or block him. The sudden cut off will cause him anxiety and that will push him to reach out. If you reach out it will just feed his validation and push him further away. He needs to truly believe you are moving one and feel your loss to want to return.
