I mean your 12 year old is growing up in a different time. I found an old homework assignment of me spewing gay slurs that I honestly never even remembered saying or having this type of hateful perspective. But it was normalized enough that I put it in a homework assignment (and got an A lol). And this is the time when people would call things “so gay” and that was very typical, now we know it isn’t. Anyway, I am married to a woman now so I obviously don’t believe these things anymore. And idk where Vasana is from, but I live in New York now and was shocked at the amount of Latinos who drop the N word. And when I called it out, I was told that the culture here is different bc black and brown communities were intertwined. I don’t necessarily agree with this but I’m just shedding perspective on different upbringings. 🤷🏽♀️she should take accountability for what she said, but I also am curious where she grew up and what year this was filmed.
