3xxx models are terrible, I mean they are cheap, but their lifespan sucks, the bt chip dies, bd dies, and the RSX fails, I got 3 3001B model slims, all died in just 4 days, even though they were maintained. The best model to get is the 2101 or the 2501, its perfect for modding and they last long,

I just bought one of those slims for CFW and man it's so nice, i went from an original FAT ps3 to a super slim as a kid and the super slim felt so cheap, those earlier slim models feel super nice, and after a tear down and new thermal paste they run pretty cool. It's incredible how good these games look when you throw them on an older crt monitor, especially gta4.
