These are the names our people went by they didn’t go by Seneca. Seneca would’ve been under the Iroquois confederacy which was the Haudenosaunee confederacy. They had towns along the Mohawk River and two castles one on upper and the other on the lower Mohawk River. At one point they had them all under Mohawk. They identified by their clan and town name just like we did in the southeast USA we didn’t go by tribes, for example they actually identified as: Wolf clan, from Canajoharie." Schenectady and Canajoharie was two towns with castles in them along the Mohawk River. Schenectady Mohawk Urban/river town reclassified as "Black/Colored" they were erased. Canajoharie survivors Semi-rural reclassified as "Colored" they were erased. Here is a map of this confederacy they were all under Mohawk. The recognized groups who they gave their identity too were far away from the actual people. Those recognized groups of so called Mohawks locations: some of them lived in Quebec Canada, some on the bay of Quinte Ontario, some on the border of Quebec, some in Montreal Quebec, and it was a fifth group that was in north-central, NY in the forest interior 166 miles away from the “Mohawks.” The other groups were over 320 miles away from them. The names associated with these groups are: Akwesasne, Kahnawà:ke, Kanesatake, Tyendinaga, Ganienkeh.
