Can this not also be played defensively? Target your own creature that is blocking, it gains power (prbly destroys opponent card) and yours stays around since it wasnt attacking. Dont gain the trample benefit but still useful.

I think it's very obvious to give this to an opponent, if it was meant to only activate on your turn it'd be a sorcery

you can also play it on your blocking creature. since it's not attacking, it won't be destroyed at the end step
