I’m using Duolingo and watch only Korean shows with English subtitles but it’s so hard because they talk to fast I can only pick out a few words send help

Thank you for this.💜💜 This is great!There are people who always say you should do immersion when learning a language but they never tell you exactly how to do it. This has been super helpful. I also am learning Korean and I am determined. I'm going to do this now to help me learn.

My phone language is in korean, I listen to korean podcasts amd music, my grocery lists are in korean, etc. For me learning just through textbook is difficult for me, id rather surround myself in the culture itself even if I dont live there, cause it keeps me devoted to learning. it helps me learn through just context as well instead of fully just looking up the English meaning

I did the same thing with Korean, Japanese and Mandarin. I started with Korean cause I easily picked up words. I shop at Asian grocery stores, even learned to make their dishes. Im literally Korean now. Auntie at the Korean restaurant gave me a Korean name too 😂 🥰

I listen to Korean music exclusively and constantly when I’m working (I work from home). I still don’t understand how it could help me learn Korean. Occasionally, I recognize a word here and there that I know, but I don’t think it’s really helping me learn the language.

I am beginning to do that! Not crazy. I have begun to speak to my grandson in Korean. I am a beginner, most of my free time is devoted to Korean!! Kdramas, TikTok and K-pop! I’m loving the process.

I can't do it that way because I still love my own culture music and shows but I just add Korean music and TV to my list already. I would probably forget to stick with only Korean content, I forget too much😂
