or imagine when your child’s father chooses to not stay sober just so he could take care of her. why would i want a drunk druggie to raise my daughter or even be in her presence? i’m the type of mom to tell my kid why i did what i did. i did it to save her from being around that kind of behavior. im saving her sanity now then to wait til she 16 or younger or even older and going the same shit as her father. yeah no. the way you raise your kid is the way they are going to grow up. i’m not having it. my childs safety and her mindset comes first no matter what. i do not care how im looked at!!

We’re human we all make mistakes. It’s how we grow from those mistakes. I was an absolute jerk to my kids mother. For a very long time. My kids are all teens now and I’d be dammed if I didn’t take advantage of the fact they still want to be in my life. Now that I manned up and took accountability of my actions I realized if she’s not good neither are my kids. Now I treat her with love, kindness, and respect. She is proud of how I turned it around and now I’m the one helping her out instead of putting her down. Everyone’s story’s is different but if you can change it don’t sleep on the opportunity. A mom and dads role is important peace between the two is needed especially for our children.
