WWE Actually Performed in Iraq WWE’s Tribute to the Troops has a remarkable history that began in 2003, when WWE decided to bring its superstars directly to U.S. military personnel serving overseas. The first major event took place at Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq, during the Iraq War, turning a military base into an unexpected wrestling arena. WWE stars performed matches and entertained soldiers who were spending the holidays far away from their families. The tradition continued over the years, including a major WWE visit to Iraq in 2008. For security reasons, the exact locations of the shows were kept secret until WWE arrived. The events featured some of WWE’s biggest stars and gave troops a few hours of entertainment and a sense of normality while serving thousands of miles from home. One of the most impressive parts of the early tours was the scale: in 2007, WWE reportedly visited around 20 military bases across Iraq in only three days, bringing wrestling and entertainment directly to troops stationed throughout the country. What started as a special Christmas event eventually became one of WWE’s longest-running traditions, continuing to honor and entertain military personnel around the world. #shorts #usa #History #usaus #historias #truestory #historia #historyfacts #usa_tiktok #fyp #historical #ukhistory
