ممتاز بالعكس بلدي كثير بلغت حفر عندنا بالحي وجو سكروه وفيه مره رصيف ممشى جديد وكان فيه غرفة حقة مولدات ماء لاكن ماعليه غطاء كم متر تحت تخيل احد طاح به وفيه رصيف غير مكتمل وفيه بعد مطبات مخالفة الي يحط مطب اسمنت من كيفه

A judge today ordered a 50-year-old Georgia man to spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury convicted him of raping and murdering a woman 25 years ago. A jury in Clarke County convicted Edrick Lamont Faust on Monday of 12 crimes, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy, burglary, tampering with evidence, and first-degree arson.
A judge today ordered a 50-year-old Georgia man to spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury convicted him of raping and murdering a woman 25 years ago. A jury in Clarke County convicted Edrick Lamont Faust on Monday of 12 crimes, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy, burglary, tampering with evidence, and first-degree arson. "This court finds, based upon the evidence presented at trial and the jury's verdict, that a sentence involving rehabilitation is not appropriate in this case," said Judge Lisa Lott in the Superior Court of Georgia's Western Judicial Circuit, which covers Athens-Clarke County and Oconee County. At the courthouse in Athens today (Thursday, February 19), Lott sentenced Faust to two consecutive life sentences for count one, malice murder, and count eight, rape, and an additional 45 years in confinement Counts two through five, felony murder charges, were vacated because they overlap with the malice murder charge. Count six, a burglary charge, was 20 years consecutive to counts eight and ten. Count seven, the first aggravated sodomy charge, was 30 years concurrent with count one. Count eight, rape, was life consecutive to count one. Count nine, aggravated assault, merged with count one. Count ten, second aggravated sodomy, was 30 years consecutive to counts one and seven. Count eleven, arson, was 20 years consecutive to count six. Count twelve, possession of a knife, was five years consecutive to count eleven. The victim was Tara Louise Baker, a law student at the University of Georgia who was found dead inside her burning apartment in Athens on Jan. 19, 2001, a day before her 24th birthday. Faust was convicted of aggravated assault in an unrelated case in 2001, and a sample of his DNA was entered into a database. The investigation into Baker's murder was reopened with money from a law passed in her name in 2023. #law #crime #court #legal #coldcase
