Basketball is art, and as time goes on art becomes more refined and complex, 90s players would not make an NBA roster today, Current killian Hayes would avg 35/10/5 a game in the 80s and 90s, that’s not a diss to the 90s it’s just reality, the 80s and 90s had their beauty and their greatness, but to be so closed minded and say that the 90s were better than modern day hoops, and say that LeBron wouldn’t survive the 90s because of the “physicality” is just plain wrong and dumb. LeBron would average a smooth 60/20/10 in the 90s playing against Jordan, again, not a diss, just a credit to the game of basketball and how beautiful the game of basketball is that it’s always evolving, in about 30 years I’m going to be yelling at my kids that LeBron was the goat, but in 30 years a 7”6 rotation center for the charlotte hornets would probably give LeBron 60 pts, it hurts to say, but it’s the truth, time will evolve the game and the game will leave certain players in the past. Arguing over cross era basketball is like arguing whether 100 cavemen would beat 10 fully kitted navy seals. It’s not a fair argument because of time and evolution. Bottom line. Basketball is art and art constantly evolves. 90s ball had its time. Modern ball had its time. And now we are moving into the WEMBY/ 7 foot shooter era that will “again” revolutionize the game.
