Another problem with The Boys is that the original comics were built on nothing but hate and spite. It also gets very uncreative and underwhelming nearing the end. I always thought that the show’s ending was kind of doomed from the start because of this.

I disagree with invisible being a deconstruction cuz it was never a deconstruction it was literally just Spider-Man and Superman mixed together

A deconstruction works because it understands what it decorating. A realistic superman wouldnt just be evil he’d be tired and annoyed l.a realistic Batman would be a dramatic jackass, he’d be more paranoid and pushes people away cause he doesn’t wanna drag people down with him. People think a deconstruction is just edge and violence but it’s a tweak and examination of a fundamental constant in whatever is being examined

I liked my hero but I will admit that a lot of it is really implied. Like *SPOILERS* when all the heroes started quitting after all might retired, it kinda showed that the new heroes didn’t become heroes to be heroes, they only did that just for the fame and money, and when the guy who was carrying them hopped out, so did they

This is exactly why I couldn’t fully get behind the premise of BNHA. It had something good going in the first two episodes where it expressed a what if the protagonist was powerless in a world where people have superpowers, but still wanted to be a hero. But that gets thrown out the window when he gets a power, turning its message to “anyone can be a hero! But only if you fit in with the majority.”

I love the idea The Tick 90s cartoon gave. Like really, What if all of these superheroes had to live in the same world. There'd be way too many of them! And while most of them are either tired, insane, snarky, shy, or just lame. Tick is just the overconfident idiot who truly believes in the superhero personality and lifestyle. To the point to where it's almost annoying how nice he is, because he also does stupid shit in the process.

Hancock is good also dispatch ; invincible was good asf and the boys had its moments. I thought watchmen was what if we loose hope gave into despair and also took all the joy out of superheroes and the boys was capitalism run rampant but yes to everything else .

dude I don't want to sound rude but I think you've misunderstood the references your showing because invincible is its own thing with its own story and characters not deconstruction and invincible has existed for years so it wasn't much of a deconstruction story so I don't understand the points your given
