As someone who lives in Poulsbo, Poulsbo is better than Bainbridge and Bainbridge is VERY overhyped. Port Townsend is also cute and port Angeles and the Olympic national park are must visits in the summer. Lake crescent is beautiful

Visiting Bainbridge might not have been the amazing, but LIVING here is simply the best. My kids paddle board to town for ice cream, bike to school, you can still send your kids to a pg13 movie with a note of permission from mom 😂.

Girl as a fellow texas transplant, I don’t see the appeal of Bainbridge either. Definitely overhyped. I utilize Bainbridge for the ferry. And last year 4th of July festivities were fun! If you try out Poulsbo, let me know!! I live in Poulsbo. I’m by no means whatsoever able to be a tour guide, just a fellow Texan :)

I love living here, but it does confuse me why we get SO much tourism over the summer… there’s really not much here. The best part of the island is the community and small town feel when you start to know all the locals.

Nah this is the correct take - I grew up here, whole family lives on Bainbridge, LOVE it because it is where my family is but I don’t understand how visitors find it so fun? There just isn’t actually that much to do? If you want “feel like you’re in a whole different world” vibes then Port Townsend and the San Juans are where it’s at.

Do you have the WSDOT app? Ferry wait times and schedule for all routes are there for you. Plus a bunch if other info to help you navigate the state. Love your videos girlie 🥰

Yes Bainbridge is super over rated. We live in Poulsbo (moved from Lynnwood) and there’s soooo many other cool places on the peninsula!
