What the world needs to know is that waiters & waitresses don’t get minimum wage their wages set much lower than minimum wage. That’s why servers rely on their tips to make up the difference. Be kind tip your waitresses or waiters.

Some servers don’t make jack when it comes to wages. For the most part, it takes a special person to serve others. I keep in mind that these are people too, they are not beneath me. I tend to tip regardless, a server has to really suck not to get a tip from me. I tip more on good and great service. My heart goes out to these people.

Under federal law, employers can pay as little as $2.13/hour in direct wages to tipped employees, provided the employee's tips bring them up to at least the regular minimum wage. If tips don't make up the difference, the employer is legally required to do so.

That’s BS I used to work as a server you get paid a base pay from the company plus your tips should add up to minimum wage if they do not the company is required to bump your pay to minimum wage if you do not like your job go find another one
